The Lost Corner Preserve is a beautiful wooded park that offers visitors a chance to learn about the history of Sandy Springs. The nature trails wind through the 24 acre property past streams and the ruins of rock walls in the forest.
The property was settled by the McMurtrey family in the mid 1800’s. The McMurtrey family lived on the property and farmed here for generations. The Miles family purchased the land in 1913, and it was in their family until Peggy Miles passed away in 2008. The Friends of Lost Corner and the City of Sandy Springs have been maintaining the preserve since.
In addition to the hiking trails and historical markers, Lost Corner Preserve has a community garden, a cottage that is available for small events, and a greenhouse. Visit the Friends of Lost Corner for more information.
