The Lovett School

At A Glance

The Lovett School is an independent, coeducational day school serving children from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school was established in 1926 by Mrs. Eva Edwards Lovett, an innovative educator who emphasized the development of the whole child.

She began the school with just 20 boys and girls in Grades 1-3 at a former home, now Lovett has more than 1,550 students from 78 different zip codes and 11 counties in the metropolitan area. Today, Lovett’s founding vision of a progressive education rooted in learning, character, and community is continually affirmed.
